Robertson also served four terms on the Fayetteville City Council (3 at-large & 1 district). He was also the youngest City Council member ever elected to a seat at age 26.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Qualifications! As Mayor of one of NC's largest cities and serving at large on the City Council, I have represented over 208,000 residents. I've been elected and re-elected so my understanding of the position is clear and my TOP priority is to represent this Congressional district with integrity and transparency..Accountability! Living in the district since the 1970's, Kim and I have many ties here. We hold ourselves accountable and our neighbors and friends hold us accountable too. Common sense decision making and legislation is a quality that I possess. I'm honored to have served this area in the past and honored that so many people continue to put their trust in our campaign for better government!Accessibility! Through the past thirty-something years of public service, I've always been accessible to those I serve. I consider myself a student and an employee to those who elected me. I will work for you the same way. I'm always on call and want to help! My phone number is 919-655-4NAT and my email is Nat4Congress@gmail.com.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

As Mayor, we tackled so many pressing issues; we lowered our unemployment rate and grew our local economy during those years. Now I want to turn my focus on getting important work done in Washington. Foremost on my agenda is growing our economy, protecting our Veterans, law enforcement, farming community, the Second Amendment, and our borders. There is so much more your elected officials can and should do.” Robertson says, “Healthcare, drug costs, Social Security and military funding are all important issues. But most importantly, we have to get our spending under control by looking for outdated programs and areas we can discontinue or cut. This Country's trillion dollar stimulus spending must stop before we are faced with irreversible inflation and continuing price increases across the board!”

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

All for different reasons, my modern day heroes include:

Candace Owens

Nikki Haley

Newt Gingrich

Karl Rove

and the late Ronald Reagan

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Integrity, accountability and accessibility.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

To represent their constituents and residents of their district with integrity and act like a statesman.

What legacy would you like to leave?

I would like to represent my district to ensure the values and qualities that we were raised with continue to be important in our children's lives.

Washington DC has become weak and we are no longer the world leader in many aspects. I would like for our Country to be considered the best of the best in the world.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

Wow, this really makes me feel old...

I remember the Apollo moon launches, Evel Knievel's famous jumps and running around as a kid while Richard Nixon gave his resignation speech.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

In high school I worked three jobs at the same time. I drove a school bus, worked in an arcade and on weekends spun records at the skating rink.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

Everybody wants to go to heaven by Kenny Chesney.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

Definitely. For any representative of the people, one must know first hand how the "system" works and is set up. For someone to come into an office and not know the basics, I believe is an injustice toward the populous that elected that person. Our system of government allows for candidates to start at a local level, learn the skills and responsibilities that go with holding an office before moving to state or national politics.

What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

Boarder access, our economy, energy exploration, lawlessness and the impact on our communities.

If you are not a current representative, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?

Agriculture

Appropriations, Defense, Military Construction

Armed Services

Ethics

Natural Resources

Transportation & Infrastructure

Veterans' Affairs

If you are a current representative, why did you join your current committees?

N/A

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

I would be in favor of four year terms, with term limits set at 12 years. No term should exceed four years.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

I support term limits for all seats.

Is there a particular representative, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?

I believe that Richard Hudson and Tim Scott have represented their districts well.

Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?

I believe that no matter the office, keeping an open mind to new/better ideas is important.

Sometimes that may mean a compromise but will always mean that you are able to agree to disagree on issues.

The Constitution says that all bills for raising revenue must originate in the House. What role would this power play in your priorities if elected?

I am a conservative by nature. Raising revenue is only half of the equation, spending is the other. I believe we as a nation have become "over spenders" and need to cut back on programs and policies that are no longer needed or seen as excessive. I also believe if we can cut back on taxes, it allows each of us to have greater control of our own spending by returning our money to us.
