Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Hello, I'm Monica Alponte, a Libertarian running for U.S. Representative in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District. I'm a retired business writer, an active community leader, and former co-host of a conservative TV talk show. In 2008, I began to part ways with the uniparty.

For the past 21 years, I've faithfully served my Arizona community, working with the county to improve road and driver safety, and leading by example in homeowner association reform. I see HOAs as microcosms of our broken government: overreaching, invasive, intrusive, and ruling rather than serving.

If given the privilege to serve Arizona’s 1st District, I will take that fire to the halls of Congress—fighting for individual rights, reining in out-of-control government, and always voting for non-intervention, PEACE, and America First principles.

End the "Uniparty" War Machine and Put Americans First:

Foreign wars are vehicles for waste, corruption, and money-laundering scams. I am committed to a policy of non-intervention and peace. I will not take money from foreign lobbies like AIPAC; I will show up and vote solely in the interests of Americans. It is time to stop sending taxpayer trillions abroad without the consent of the people and focus on prosperity here at home.Restore Economic Freedom: Abolish the IRS and the Federal Reserve:

The astronomical government spending on bureaucracy and "empire building" has stolen trillions from American families. I stand for a simple, bold solution: Abolish the IRS, end the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on our currency, and return that wealth to the people. We must unleash free markets and voluntary trade without government interference to ensure true financial sovereignty.Protect Individual Liberty and Constitutional Rights:

From overreaching HOAs to the halls of Congress, the government should serve, not rule. I am a steadfast defender of your fundamental rights, including a pro-2A commitment to self-defense and an unwavering defense of free speech. My mission is to rein in the invasive administrative state and ensure every individual is free to live as they choose so long as they do no harm to others.
