Mitch Rosenwald was born in Towson, Maryland, and lives in Oakland Park, Florida. Rosenwald earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and economics from Salisbury University, a master's degree in sociology from Syracuse University, and both master's and doctoral degrees in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. His career experience includes working as a professor of social work and director of doctoral studies at Barry University’s School of Social Work and as a Florida licensed clinical social worker.[1]
Rosenwald has been affiliated with a number of groups including the Oakland Park Kiwanis, the Oakland Park Volunteer Corps, and the National Association of Social Workers. He was the founding president of the Corals of Oakland Park Neighborhood Association (COPNA) and the Neighborhood Coalition of Oakland Park.[1]
