In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a candidate for the Massachusetts State Senate in the Worcester & Middlesex District, running as an independent. I am a first-generation immigrant, a longtime Westford resident, and a father of three.
My professional background spans technology, education, and real estate. I have worked for over two decades in enterprise technology and large-scale team leadership, helping organizations solve complex operational and systems challenges. Earlier in my career, I taught English at the college level in Beijing, which shaped my commitment to education and communication across cultures. I also manage residential real estate and have hands-on experience with housing operations, property management, and the day-to-day realities facing homeowners and renters.
I entered public service and local civic involvement because I care deeply about affordability, housing stability, and the long-term strength of our communities. I serve on and participate in local committees and community initiatives in Westford, and At the time of an affordability crisis today, I aim to earnestly bring practical, independent problem-solving to state government focused on the real cost pressures facing families today.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Affordability is my top priority: I will focus on lowering the cost of housing, property taxes, and everyday essentials so working families and seniors can stay in the communities they call home.
Today, families and seniors across the district are being squeezed by rising housing costs, property taxes, and everyday expenses like energy, healthcare, and transportation.
I believe state government should prioritize practical solutions that directly reduce these cost pressures rather than adding new layers of burden.
My goal is to make it possible for working people to live and stay in the communities they serve, with policies that are grounded in real household realities rather than abstract politics. We need a more practical, town-by-town approach to housing and development.
Different communities face different constraints, and one-size-fits-all mandates often create resistance without solving underlying supply and affordability challenges.
I support increasing housing supply in a responsible way - by addressing zoning barriers, encouraging redevelopment, and aligning growth with infrastructure capacity and local character.
The focus should be on results: more attainable housing options, reduced pressure on prices, and stronger, more sustainable communities.I am running as an independent candidate to bring a results-driven, nonpartisan voice to the State Senate.
Too often, policy debates are shaped by party positions rather than what works best for residents - as we are debating politics, our neighbors are wondering how to put their food on table.
I aim to listen first, bring people together across political divides, and evaluate solutions based on evidence and impact rather than ideology.
My approach is transparent, practical, and grounded in problem-solving - focused on accountability, trust, and delivering measurable improvements in people’s daily lives.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am most passionate about public policy areas that directly affect the cost of living and the ability of working families and seniors to remain in their communities. This includes housing affordability, property taxes, and the broader household expenses such as energy and utility costs, transportation, and healthcare affordability.
Housing policy is a central focus for me, particularly increasing the supply of attainable housing through responsible zoning reform, streamlined permitting, and town-by-town solutions that reflect local conditions while addressing regional demand pressures.
My guiding priority is practical, results-oriented policymaking that reduces financial pressure on households while strengthening long-term opportunity.
What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?
As of now, my campaign has not sought or announced formal endorsements from organizations or elected officials.
I am running an independent, grassroots campaign focused on direct engagement with residents across the district.
My priority is earning support through conversations with voters and demonstrating a clear commitment to affordability, housing solutions, and practical problem-solving.
