Mike Johnson earned a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University in 1995 and a law degree from the Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1998. His career experience includes working as an attorney for the Alliance Defending Freedom, founding the nonprofit Freedom Guard, and working as an online adjunct professor at the Helms School of Government at Liberty University.[9][10]
