Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Miguel Arellanes is a Veteran of the United States Army and has served 5 years on Active Duty as an Engineer with the MOS code 12C, rising to the rank of Sergeant. He has overseen missions across multiple duty stations, specializing in the deployment of the Improved Ribbon Bridge. Early in his career, he was placed into the Headquarters platoon, where he maintained a Secret clearance and oversaw all personnel actions for over 200 Soldiers in the 74th Multi-role Bridge Company. For a period of time, he managed the entirety of the 62nd Engineer Battalion's Rear Detachment's personnel actions for nearly 400 Soldiers.

Since Miguel's Departure from the Armed Services, he has focused on finding a way to continue service to his Country.

Fiscal responsibility is imperative to ensuring social programs are maintained and available, while simultaneously ensuring opportunity is provided to every individual across our State.The key to providing opportunity in our State for generations to come is a robust educational system that prioritizes education from the beginning of their educational journey to the day of graduation.Rural infrastructure is incredibly important to ensuring our rural communities are able to thrive, this means access to healthcare, childcare, stable housing, and adequate employment opportunities.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I'm passionate about fiscal responsibility, maintaining and improving our educational system, and prioritizing our citizens' well-being and quality of life.
