In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I was born and raised in Southbridge, and I know what it means to grow up in a community that looks out for each other, where you take care of your neighbors and show up for people even when no one is watching. That's not politics; that's how I was raised. When my husband and I moved to East 23rd early in our marriage, I saw the gunfire and the fear firsthand, and I saw kids who had nowhere safe to go and no one fighting for them. I didn't wait for someone else to fix it. I started programs. I fed people. I knocked on doors. I showed up, state rep or not. What I see in District 2 now breaks my heart: the drugs, the violence, families losing homes to tax hikes, people who can't afford the "affordable housing" being built in their own neighborhood. For all the years this district has had representation, conditions have only gotten worse. I'm not running for a title or a paycheck. I'm running because what we've been doing isn't working, and it's time for someone who has actually lived these struggles and genuinely cares. That's me.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I'm from here. Born and raised in Southbridge, I've spent my life showing up for this community, starting programs, feeding neighbors, and fighting for kids no one else was fighting for, long before I ever ran for office. What we've been doing isn't working. For all the years District 2 has had representation, the conditions, drugs, violence, displacement, unaffordable "affordable" housing, have only gotten worse. It's time for a fresh mind and real accountability.Real safety comes from investment, not just incarceration. When people have jobs, housing, and hope, violence goes down. I'll fight for housing working families can actually afford, a public-health response to the fentanyl crisis, and community-led safety.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Housing affordability and stopping tax-driven displacement, too many families are losing homes that have been theirs for generations, and "affordable" housing is priced for incomes our neighbors simply don't have. Community safety and the fentanyl crisis, which I see as public-health emergencies that need a public-health response, not just a law-enforcement one. Criminal justice reform, diversion, reentry, and ending policies that criminalize poverty. And education that reaches kids before they hit a crisis point, so we break the school-to-prison pipeline instead of feeding it.
