Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am the immediate past Chairman of the Lee County (FL) Republican Executive Committee (2022-2024) and immediate past Chairman of the Congressional Caucus 19 at the Republican Party of Florida. I was a proud State Executive Board Member of the Republican Party of Florida. I founded the East Lee County (FL) Republican Club (2019). I am a Board Member of the East Lee County Chamber of Commerce (2021-Current). In 2023 as Chairman of the Lee County (FL) REC, I hosted our annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner and had President Donald J. Trump as my Keynote Speakers. Other speakers included U.S. Congressman Byron Donalds (FL CD-19), U.S. Congressman Greg Steube (FL CD-17) and (Ret.) Lt. General Michael Flynn.
In 2022, I was the State Director for Florida for America First, empowered by The America Project. My organization advocated throughout the State of Florida for America First Policy, with a heavy focus on Election Integrity. We provided training to grassroots organizations for Poll Watching among others opportunities.

My Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I believe following the only perfect man to ever walk the earth is the perfect example of how to treat others.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Faith and Integrity.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
To represent the residents of House District 77 and not campaign managers and lobbyists.
What legacy would you like to leave?
Faithful, hard working, honest, community focused. A legacy that my family would be proud of the Thompson name.
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
Space Shuttle Challenger exploding in 1986. I was 11 years old.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Working at my grandfathers trucking business until completion of high school.
What is your favorite book? Why?
The Art of the Deal, by President Donald Trump. As a businessman and someone who has been bringing people together for a common goal over the last 30 years, it is important to know how to move people and negotiate in business.
If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
Learning to accept the things that I cannot change.
What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?
A working relationship. The Legislature is the entity with creating laws with the input and support of the Governor and his vision.
What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?
I do believe it is beneficial. While it's wonderful to have people who have never been engaged, become engaged in politics, it is critical to have representatives who have experience.
Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.
Absolutely. Relationships are critical in being able to pass legislation and spawn ideas on how to engage and improve the current model.

Not at this time.

My own story.

What is the first bill you would introduce if elected?
Constitution Carry 2nd Amendment which will also include the repeal of Red Flag Laws.
Do you support or oppose changes to the current state ballot initiative process? If so, what kind of changes would you consider?
Support.
Candidates hear many personal stories from voters. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching or memorable?
I was planning the 2023 Lincoln Reagan Dinner while Chairman of the Lee County (FL) REC with President Trump as my keynote speaker, I had a gentleman contact me stating that his father had given him a copy of The Art of the Deal that President Trump authored when he was a child, and that he still had that book and what a profound impact it had on him and his life. He had asked me if I could get the President to autograph the book for him. It was very touching for me to be apart of that.
What is an accomplishment that you are proud of?
Hosting the 2023 Lincoln Reagan Dinner for the Lee County (FL) REC hosting President Donald Trump and 900+ others for dinner!
What legislation would you enact related to election administration in your state?
I will sponsor legislation to end vote by mail except for Servicemembers and those voters who have verifiable medical conditions.
