Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
For too long our nation has been pushed down by fake elites and bad politicians. The forever wars, bailouts, mass immigration, and the off-shoring of industry were not accidents. We need to empower the next generation of Americans with bold, unrelenting leadership.
This means re-shoring and rebuilding American industry, increasing the real energy grid, and investing in America - and in Americans. Strong borders and protective tariffs will raise the wages and the value of the American worker. We need to build more homes, increase construction, lower costs, and revive the American dream.
This great experiment of self-government is not dead. It lives within us. It's time to unleash the creative power of the American spirit. We need to secure peace abroad and rebuild America. No longer can our nation help the world while we drown at home. Our younger generations are enraged and hopeless because of decades of failures.
We need to end the political divisions that stem from foreign wars and failed globalist policies. For decades we have lowered wages, increased debt, and expanded poverty while politicians got rich from endless wars. This was just stupid and insane.
America became the greatest nation on Earth by building the strongest industrial and scientific economy in history. We need to end the wars, secure peace, and launch the greatest reconstruction of American industry and society the world has ever seen. Our children are suffering the worst social crisis imaginable. Literacy rates in Michigan have collapsed. Our culture has become obsessed with sexual education and academic ideologies rather than focused on literacy, civic responsibility, and great ideas.
We have a real mental health crisis. The climate apocalypse agenda has sown fear; social media creates isolation and addiction; and drug use kills hundreds of thousands of our precious young. Today, young adults cannot imagine ever buying a home because inflation is over 50% in five years.
This is a wake up call. We need to reprioritize our national culture and devote ourselves to creating a future for the next generations.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
In terms of economics and jobs we need to rebuild our national industry and expand and improve our energy grid. Tariffs and strong borders will help raise wages and make housing more affordable. As we grow the real economy, we can eliminate the deficit and pay off the national debt.
In terms of our young people, we need to have an ironclad commitment to build up the talents, skills, and souls of our children. Too many young people feel unneeded. This starts at the top with vision and leadership, but has to be implemented at the local and family level.
Regarding foreign policy, we need to secure a system of sovereign nations and end the tyranny of globalism and multinational corporate interests. Americans come first!
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
A true leader has a deep love of God and country, a devotion to the truth, a vision for the future, and the courage to fight for the interests of the American people.
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. I was 12 years old. My family had just fallen apart and it seemed the world was changing rapidly.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
At 7, I ran the most successful lemonade stand ever. They were repaving the roads in the neighborhood for a few days, and I quickly expanded from lemonade to pop, iced tea, and even a few beers (with Grandma's permission). Total success!
At 10, I cut lawns for the neighbors for two years.
At 14, I worked in my dad's factory every summer for three years. I worked the fastener machine, the glue machine, and the shrink wrap machine.
Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?
A young man, an engineer, said he just bought a home for the first time. When he estimated with the bank the mortgage payments per month it came out to $1,800. When he received his first bill the mortgage payment was $3,100, a 70% increase. The county assessor had increased his property tax beyond the basic guidelines. This is insane, and is literally taxing our citizens to death.
First time home ownership is hard enough. We need to reprioritize the livelihood of our citizens, their freedoms, their dreams, and their endeavors. Public bureaucrats who mistreat our citizens and violate the spirit of our laws - whether at the level of the Federal Reserve or the county assessor, whether during public health emergencies or over property taxes - should be seen as the most heinous criminals and be punishable by law.
Steger's campaign website listed the following issues:[4]
Impeach Obama - Stop World War III: "Obama has no basis for being President of the United States. He has abused the most vulnerable of our people, ushering them to the figurative gas-chambers of either Wall St.'s looted and impoverished cities and states, or to the Wall St. controlled medical-triage system now termed Obamacare."
Destroy the British Empire: "The British Empire is nothing less than the ruling system of slavery and population reduction, enforced by puppet Presidents such as the Bushes, Dick Cheney, and Obama. Add to these traitors the process of perpetual war unleashed since World War I, and excepting the Presidencies of Franklin Roosevelt and John Kennedy, you have an entire century of global genocide."
Bankrupt Wall Street: "The international financial institutions and the ruling monarchies of Britain and Holland - the very ones who supported the Hitler dictatorship - are blackmailing our nation and the nations of Europe with either mass murder of the poor, elderly, and sick - or - a nuclear war of extinction with Russia and China."
End the Drought - Build NAWAPA XXI: "With a severe water crisis throughout the western states, a unified campaign has been launched by Michael Steger, candidate for Congress in San Francisco, and Kesha Rogers, candidate for the U.S. Senate in Texas, to unite the western states, and the nation, for the development of the largest water delivery program ever designed, Nuclear NAWAPA XXI. We intend to put an end to this green genocide program, and put our nation back to work."
Fusion Energy: "Atop Telegraph Hill, Christopher Columbus sits looking out across the Pacific to China and all of Asia. This was true centuries ago when Europeans looked across the Atlantic to a New World free of financial and political tyranny. Today, the potential for collaboration with China, Russia, South Korea, Japan, India and others, presents the greatest potential for growth and development in the United States today."
