Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Its time to fix Texas schools. We need to increase funding to keep up with inflation. We need to restructure school funding from attendance based to enrolled base. Teachers need to be paid their worth. We need to restructure their retirement and insurance programs. The cost of living in Texas is too high. Our insurance premiums are rising because there is no oversight of the Insurance commission. Its a file and raise system bought by special interest money. We have to get a handle on enviromental damage done by the gas and oil industry. We need to stop burning methine from wells. This is adding to our global warming issues and contributing to increased storms which also help increase insurance cost.

People First I will always ask the special interest groups " whats in it for the people" If they can not give a reasonable answer , then my answer will be NO
What legacy would you like to leave?
I want to leave the legislature better than I found it . There are some structural issues that need to changed. For instance, the legislature meets every two years. The newly elected candidates are sworn in the 2nd week of January, after the election. They are expected to vote on over a 1,000 bills within a few weeks. This is not informed voting.

Cutting Grass at a chruch and working on a road crew building subdivision.
What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
Raising my daughter as a single parent.
What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?
Work must together. We can not continue working in a divided goverment. Its not about who gets credit, its about serving the people who elected you
What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?
I think we are loosing control over the enviroment. This is going to affect our food and water supplies. Increased storm severity caused by global warming is already affecting all of us.
Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?
Yes. Working together requires understanding the concerns of the other side and finding ways to meet those concerns.
What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?
Mothers Against Greg Abott, North Texas Democratic Women. Others are pending
What was the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember?

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
The American dream is fading. Our schools are failing from lack of funding. Teachers are leaving the profession at unpresidented rates. We are hiring teachers who only have a teaching certificate. The state is funding our schools based on attendance not on enrollment. This causes unsable financial planning and shortfalls in budgeting. The voucher program is taking away money from the public schools and giving it to for profilt schools with no accountability. The voucher funding exceeds the amount given to priviate schools creating an additional imbalance to public school financing. This voucher program needs to be scrapped and funding to public schools increasedThe cost of living is hurting Texas families and small businesses. The increase in tariffs and oil prices caused be the Iran war is putting direct presssure on the goods imported or made in the US. Families are now buying only the necessities aandcutting back on nice to have goods. The cost of gas has almost doubled restricting vacation trips. Those that support these foreign policies only enable the President to continue to wreck our economy. Inflation limits home and car sales. Our economy is slowing and I fear heading into a recesion. We are moving backward from our goals toward enviromental protection. Data centers are growing all around Texas. They use an disapporiate amount of water and power. Texas does not have the water to spare for these centers. Billionairs are reaping the benifits of tax abatements and giving nothing back to the communities. Our goal to move toward solar, wind geothermal is being held back buy big oil compaines who pay politicians to openly burn off gas from oil wells. Insurance rates contiue to climb because of extreme weather events. Its a cycle that has to end.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Womens rights have been infringed upon by our courts and state goverment. I believe that women should have the right to make their own decisions about their health care. It is not state goverments business to be involved in birth control decisions or a womans decison when to have a child. Many times these are health care decisions that should only be made with her doctor and family if she so choses.
