In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My name is Michael D. Musick. Born in Reno Nevada, I aced my G.A.T.E program math placement test in the 5th grade and was nominated for the National Junior Young Leaders of America award for the State of Arizona. I also went to Sierra Nevada Job Corp trade school. I'm currently enrolled at the College of Southern NV and I'm aiming for degree's in Computer Science and Environmental Management. I have been curious since an early age of my surroundings, the world we live in and have always questioned if their are better ways to improve the quality of life we all live. I have worked since the age of 16 in various roles including ranch hand, sales, construction, casino, telecommunications, tech, AI, as a political canvasser, field organizer and political consultant both on a local and national level. My first bill and introduction into politics was helping pass SB152 by collecting signatures while working alongside the AFL-CIO to promote green jobs. I understand the needs of both rural and urban communities and the integral role they play in our society as a whole. It is with great honor that I'm running for Nevada State Assembly District 7 to safeguard the people of Nevada's best interests, uphold liberties at the legislative level, and represent my districts collective voice. In today's current political climate there is a huge divide due to those elected enriching themselves and treating the rule of law as a suggestion. It is time to wake up and listen to the music.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Accountability Liberty and Justice: I believe deeply in accountability liberty and justice for all. Laws must protect all Nevadan and serve the best interests of our society. In an era where constitutional protections are often constantly under threat, I will be a steadfast guardian of the law, and our individual rights, ensuring the government remains accountable to the governed.Accessibility Integrity and Transparency: I pledge to maintain open lines of communication and ensure that every decision is made "in the light of day." Your voice matters, and I will serve as your advocate in the legislature—bringing your concerns directly from our neighborhoods to the assembly floor. I am beholden to the people of the Nevada and not to any party no special interest.Equity and Opportunity: I am committed to fostering a Nevada where every resident is treated with dignity and has a fair shot at success. I will champion policies that prioritize equality of opportunity, ensuring our state's growth benefits the many, not just a privileged few.
