In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a wife, mother, Christian, republican, Parkersburg South High school and WVU graduate, and a lifelong Wood County resident. I love my state and the people in it.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
School Choice: I believe all children should benefit from an education that best suits their learning. If that choice is public school, private, home school, micro school or online school, I support it. Each parent/guardian who knows their children best should be able to decide which learning environment is most conducive to their children.A Free Market: a free market drives the state's economic growth and the state's economic growth drives the people's economic growth. When goods/services get cheaper and more varied it frees up the wallet of the everyday person to spend more freely on other goods or services. By creating good, healthy competition between businesses in WV, the people benefit where it matters and speaks the loudest, their cash in hand.A Small Government: This is another way to say I believe in personal responsibility. Legislation of choice is constricting and creates a lack of trust between people and the government. A smaller government reduces subsidies and gives way to a freer market. Give the reigns back to the people of WV. Let us live and die on the ideas and decisions we want to make.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Education and economics
