Background

Mark Pocan was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 1964.[1] He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986. He previously owned Budget Signs & Specialties, a printing business.[2] He previously served as a member of the Dane County Board of Supervisors from 1991 to 1996, and the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1998 to 2013.[1]
