In their own words

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Texas Treasury does not have surpluses only overtaxed citizens. Texans are overtaxed at every level. The tax the state of Texas has most control over is the sales tax. This tax can be cut with an act of the legislature and implemented at the latest by 9/1/2027.

Texans deserve tax relief. First is a sales tax cut that will benefit every man, woman and child regardless of whether they own property or not. All Texans pay sales tax to generate the "surplus", all Texans deserve relief.

Next is a revamp of property taxes at the local level:

Any increase in the property tax rate requires voter approval.

Homestead Exemptions apply to ALL taxing authorities.

Tax appraisal value can only increase at the rate of inflation.Texas Public Education is failing our children.

The Texas Education Agency Commissioner should be elected not appointed. The public education commissioner should be accountable to the parents and taxpayers not the governor.

The current APPOINTED TEA Commissioner has served at the governor's behest for 10 years. The agency has only grown in cost and employees and the results ever poorer results on our children's education outcomes. On my website, I propose a revamp of how Texas delivers and education to our children. We need to put the "I" back into Independent School District. And school districts need closer oversight. The focus would be to empower the already elected SBOE membersEnd Corporate Welfare.

Property tax abatements are partially responsible for the higher property taxes on the other property owners.

In Corpus Christi subsidized industrial complexes are draining the reservoirs and the people are on level 4 water rationing.

As I crisscross Texas, the availability to water is raised more often. Reckless industrialization of Texas is stressing our water supply, electrical grid and our farmland.

It is driven not for true economic development but PAC donation development. A governor does not amass a $100 million campaign fund from Grassroots donations.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Over taxation

Public Education

Corporate Welfare

Adoption Foster Care

Viability of our Agribusiness

Water supply

Abandoned oilwells

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

This is a grassroots campaign. It is driven to raise serious awareness of issues the incumbents do not want exposed.

The good news is many of the grassroots organizations are not endorsing in this race.

Giving us more opportunities to be heard.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Keeping my company going and delivering solutions that benefit my customer.

A governor is the top executive authority in his or her state. What does that mean do you?

That means the sovereignty of the state is critical and the first and foremost important aspect is to the citizens and their financial well being to pursue happiness and their private property rights.

Governors have many responsibilities, which vary from state to state. Which of those do you personally consider the most important in your state?

In Texas at this time is the protection of the Texas borders.

Different states require governors to have different degrees of responsibility for the state budgeting process. If it were your choice, what do you believe is the appropriate degree of gubernatorial involvement with this process in your state?

Insuring that spending by government is not bloated. Starting with the governors office. The best way is to limit the revenue to the treasury. Texas taxpayers have earned tax relief and insuring they are not overburdened with taxes is the most critical role of for a governor

In most states, governors have the power to make line-item vetoes. If that is true in your state, what would be your philosophy for how and when to use this power?

Texas governors do have line-item veto, hopefully in working with the legislature on the budget, it would not be too necessary. As the legislature should be reflecting the priorities of the voters. While the authority is there, like all such aspects exercising that authority should be done judiciously.

What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?

Depending on the structure and who the speaker and Lt Governor is drives how that relationship can work. It cannot be adversarial, but it must be arms length and insure that legislators do not craft programs like Chapter 313 of the Texas Tax Code that are so disdainful to the Texas Taxpayers.

What do you love most about your state?

Texas is the most robust state in the nation. Blessed with natural resources, agriculture, shipping it is no wonder it is the 9th economy in the world. But it cannot trample the individual with a reckless rush for growth at any cost.

What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?

The Texas Border

Election Integrity

Education of the children

Being transparent with the voters.

Managing growth so that arable land is destroyed from agriculture

Under what circumstances should the governor of your state be able to use emergency powers?

Under limited applications of dire circumstances very briefly then call in the legislature to deal with long term consequences if there are long-term consequences

Campaign website

Goloby's campaign website stated the following:

Texas first, Texans first

ACCOUNTABLE TRANSPARENT GOVERNMENT

I can not let another day go by where Texan's hard earned money is pilfered and wasted then the records hidden from the public.

I am furious about the waste and the hiding of the truth for the public to decide about their elected officials and state commissions.

AUTOMATIC FORENSIC AUDIT

When you run a tight ship, transparency is easy.

When they cover up for things you and I don't like, they try to hide their misdeeds.

I don't like that. I won't do that. I am accountable to the people, to Texas and to Texans. Texans deserve good governance![2]
