In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am honored to announce my intention to run for Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota as the running mate of Shin Po Vang Kweiyoyadama. I come to this moment not as a career politician, but as a lifelong Minnesotan shaped by the forests, lakes, and small towns that define our state. I grew up camping beneath northern pines, hunting Minnesota’s fields and woods, and learning the values that hold our communities together: honesty, resilience, humility, and service.

Those values guided me through seven years of active duty in the United States Coast Guard, where service meant standing watch when others slept and putting duty to country above self.

My political path has never belonged to a single party or ideology. I have deep Democratic roots through years of activism and organizing. I served as a Bernie Sanders delegate in 2016 because I believed working people deserved a stronger voice. In 2024, I served as a Kennedy elector because I believed our politics needed courage, independence, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

Over the years, I have caucused with nearly every major political party in Minnesota. What I learned is simple: no party holds a monopoly on wisdom, patriotism, or compassion. Good people exist across this state and across the political spectrum. Minnesota’s future will be built not through division, but through shared purpose.

This campaign is about restoring faith that principled leadership still exists — that we can disagree without hatred, defe

Every Minnesotan should feel secure in their rights, regardless of political affiliation or background.I am committed to addressing local issues with practical, non‑partisan solutions. Whether it’s public safety, economic opportunity, or community well‑being, I prioritize what works — not what fits a party line — and I listen directly to the people affected.
