Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Margaret was born in Memphis and raised in District 83. She is a mother, a worker, a neighbor, and someone deeply invested in the future of Shelby County and the communities who live here.
She has spent her career helping communities access opportunity via her work with international and national nonprofits, supporting local businesses and government, and connecting diverse communities to the resources they needs to thrive.

Education & Opportunity
Our public schools are the heart of our neighborhoods. Families choose District 83 because they want a better future for their kids. Margaret will fight for:
1. Fully funded public schools and (true) opportunities for every child
2. Competitive pay and retention for teachers
3. Career and technical education that prepares learners for the jobs of today and tomorrowCommunity Infrastructure & Smart Growth
As our district grows, we need leadership that plans for the future without leaving anyone behind. Margaret supports:
1. Investment in roads, utilities, and future technologies without exploitation, to the benefit of our neighbors and communities before big business
