In their own words
State House
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a Constitutional Conservative Republican. I am honest, hard-working, transparent, and straightforward. My actions are consistent with my words.
I moved my family from Silicon Valley to Brandon in 2020 when we lost our freedoms due to the lock-downs in California. Brandon was the only school district in the country that I could find at the time where my kids could go to school full time, in person, and without masks. I left friends, colleagues, neighbors, and church behind to start a new life in South Dakota. I started my life over at age 49 to regain my freedoms.
I love the South Dakota “all the things” way of life - community, family, faith, freedom. I have learned to hunt, shoot, fish, and farm. I drive farm semi-trucks, and I repair large farm machinery. I live a free and inspired life in South Dakota, and I want to protect it for my children.
I was educated in Germany as an RF / Microwave electrical engineer. I have worked on high speed digital communication hardware for the last 22 years. I still work part-time remotely for a company based out of Silicon Valley. The majority of my time I farm – corn, beans, oats, cattle, chickens, and turkeys.
I have been married to my wife Susan for 23 years. We are blessed with two hard-working daughters. Soraya is studying Metallurgical Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines. Sabrina is a high school sophomore interested in Marine Biology.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I am running for one of the South Dakota State House of Representatives seats for District 2 to represent YOU, my constituents, not lobbyists, not special interests, not corporations, nor billionaires. I am a Constitutional Conservative Republican.
I’ve seen how big money and big corporate interests take control of all levels of government, down to the local city council. This is why I am self-funding my campaign (instead of buying my wife a new car!). I pledge to recuse myself from any votes where I have a personal, financial, or professional conflict of interest. Money in politics is not good for freedom.Your land is yours. I will fight eminent domain abuse and tax increases that put our farms and homes at risk. Property rights are essential to our freedom, independence, creation of wealth, and economic growth. I oppose taxing people out of their homes or off their land by increasing property taxes.
I support financial transaction freedom – our ability to spend our money as we want without the government or anyone else tracking or restricting us. If all of our transactions are digital, bad actors can centrally control our money and how we use our money, which can control our behavior and turn us into slaves. The Government, billionaires, and elites have no right to be snooping without a warrant through your digital records and communications any more than they do through your filing cabinet at home (see 4th Amendment to the Constitution). I worked in Silicon Valley for 17 years building the digital control grid. I have a deep technical understanding of the ways in which this technology is not good for freedom, family, community, or health.
Social media companies are rolling out platforms that are designed to be addictive. They are also censoring us, propagandizing us, and manipulating our content. This is why I have no social media for my campaign. They are building these platforms to extract and store our data for the digital control grid.
