In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My name is Maddison Glover, and I am running to represent Kansas House District 60 because I believe government should work for everyday people.

I am a wife, a mother, a domestic violence advocate, a full-time employee, and a college student. Every day, I work with individuals and families who are navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives. That experience has shown me not only the resilience of our communities, but also where our systems fall short and where we can do better.

I decided to run for office because I believe our district deserves a representative who is accessible, transparent, and willing to listen before making decisions. Too often, people feel like their concerns are overlooked until election season. I want to change that by being present in the community, holding regular conversations with constituents, and making decisions based on what is best for the people of District 60.

My priorities include strengthening public education, expanding access to healthcare, supporting veterans, creating good-paying jobs, protecting rural communities, increasing government transparency, and ensuring economic development is responsible and benefits local residents. I believe Kansas can embrace innovation while also protecting our natural resources, infrastructure, and quality of life.

I am not running because I have all the answers. I am running because I am willing to ask hard questions and work for the everyday Kansan.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

**People First, Always.**

I'm running for the Kansas House because I believe government should work for the people it serves—not special interests. As a wife, mother, domestic violence advocate, full-time worker, and college student, I understand the challenges that Kansas families face every day. I'll fight for stronger public schools, affordable healthcare, good-paying jobs, support for our veterans, responsible economic development, and transparent, accountable government. My commitment is simple: I'll listen, I'll show up, and I'll put the people of District 60 first in every decision I make.**Building a Stronger Future for Kansas**

Kansas has incredible potential, but we need leadership that invests in people and prepares our communities for the future. I support growing our economy by attracting good-paying jobs, strengthening agriculture, supporting small businesses, improving infrastructure, and expanding career and technical education. I believe innovation and economic development can thrive alongside responsible stewardship of our natural resources, transparent decision-making, and meaningful community input. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Kansas that works for everyone.Expanding access to rural healthcare by improving non-emergency transportation for veterans who must travel long distances for appointments.
