In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a passionate advocate for the people of the 97th District in Jefferson and Berkeley Counties. As a lifelong resident of the Eastern Panhandle, I understands the unique challenges facing our communities and I’m committed to finding solutions that work for everyone, regardless of party.

I bring extensive experience advocating at both the West Virginia State Capitol and in Congress, where I have helped pass policies that protect the health, safety, and well-being of ALL West Virginians. My work spans a wide range of issues, from clean water to child care. Known for my ability to collaborate across party lines, I consistently delivers practical results that make a real difference in people's lives.

As a graduate of Jefferson High School and Shepherd University, I love living here, and I want to see our district keep getting better. That means focusing on real solutions- lower utility costs, fair wages like locality pay, better schools, roads, and child care- not ideological rhetoric. District 97 deserves a representative who listens, shows up, and puts our community first, every time.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Lowered Cost of Living:

Keeping More of What You Earn

An oversized budget surplus isn't a sign of success- it means taxpayers paid more than they should have. We must reform our tax system to return more of those dollars to the Eastern Panhandle, prioritizing working families over corporations and reinvesting in the communities where that money was earned- especially as households struggle with high cost of living.

Locality Pay for the Eastern Panhandle

Eastern Panhandle workers deserve wages that keep pace with the cost of living and the regional job market. I am committed to working with my Eastern Panhandle colleagues to deliver locality pay that strengthens our economy and keeps West Virginians working in West Virginia.Community Improvement

Economic Development

The Eastern Panhandle is growing fast. We need responsible development that balances creating jobs and protecting our regions water quality and quantity, agriculture land, and rural landscape.

Supporting Strong Public Schools

Strong schools depend on strong teachers and stable funding. That means investing in public education, delivering teacher pay raises, and supporting parents' right to make decisions for their children- without diverting resources away from public schools that our families rely on.Shared Values

Accessible Child Care

Reliable, high-quality child care across West Virginia strengthens our future and our workforce. It helps children thrive during their earliest years while giving parents the support they need to work. Nothing matters more to me than standing with our families and putting children first.
