In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, former public school educator, small business owner, and mother who owns and operates a private clinical practice in Sarasota County. My career has been defined by a deep commitment to service, systemic advocacy, and genuine human connection. Whether working one-on-one with clients navigating some of life's most difficult challenges, supporting patients at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, or teaching students in the classroom, I have spent my life listening to people, understanding their needs, and collaborating with them to find a path forward.
I am running for the State House to bring a grounded, empathetic, solution-oriented, and independent voice to our state government—ensuring our institutions are directly accountable to the families they serve.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Floridians deserve an economy where hard work provides real opportunity and families can afford to thrive. I will work to address the rising costs of housing, property insurance, healthcare, and everyday essentials while supporting small businesses and strengthening our local economy. Every policy decision should be measured by whether it improves the lives of the people we serve and creates a more affordable, prosperous future for our communities. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have seen how difficult it can be for individuals and families to access the care they need. Quality healthcare—including mental healthcare—should be accessible, affordable, and centered on patients, not bureaucracy. I will work to remove barriers to healthcare, strengthen mental health services, protect medical privacy, uphold disability rights, and ensure healthcare decisions remain between patients, their families, and their trusted providers. As a former public school teacher, I understand firsthand the challenges facing today's classrooms and the critical role public schools play in building strong communities. I believe every student deserves access to a high-quality education, and every educator deserves the resources, respect, and professional autonomy needed to help students succeed. I will advocate for fully funding public education, supporting educators, protecting students' rights, and ensuring every child is prepared for success in school, in the workforce, and in life.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am deeply passionate about public policies that protect civil rights, advance disability rights, and expand opportunity for every Floridian. I believe our government has a responsibility to remove barriers that prevent people from fully participating in their communities and achieving their potential. Florida needs stronger policies that promote equal rights, increase accessibility, and ensure marginalized communities, including Floridians with disabilities have the resources, services, and opportunities they need to thrive. I am committed to advancing policies that promote inclusion, safeguard individual freedoms, and ensure every Floridian has a voice in the decisions that shape our state.
