Kentucky House of Representatives District 43
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Lisa Holliday Harris is a Portland-area resident, nonprofit executive, transportation professional, and faith leader with more than 20 years of dedicated experience strengthening Kentucky families through practical, community-centered leadership. As someone who has served seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and working families, she is committed to bringing accountability, transparency, and responsive constituent service to Frankfort. As the founder of Fox Advocates, she has led initiatives in advocacy, resource navigation, mentoring, and community outreach. She also serves as the current President of Safehouse Kentucky, where she is helping to build a statewide organization dedicated to safe housing, emergency preparedness, advocacy, and support services for vulnerable populations. Lisa believes in public service. As a current transportation lead and a member of Louisville's Commission for persons with disabilities, she advocates for accessible spaces and access for her constituents and others who reside outside her district. Lisa is running as a dedicated Republican who can plug into the legislative majority in Frankfort. Voters need to realize that her opponent will be an isolated outsider in a supermajority-driven House. Lisa will have the ability to pass bills, secure district funding, and accomplish real results. She can offer a working-class conservative vision that aligns with getting the necessary work completed at the state level. Here to serve.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Your Voice for Every Neighborhood.
District 43 deserves a representative who listens to the people every day. Across the district's neighborhoods, from Shawnee, Portland, and Russell to Smoketown, Germantown, and the suburban pocket, voters are ready for conservative solutions. This campaign focuses on collaboration, responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources, and policies that promote economic opportunity, public safety, and strong communities. Leadership is about listening, solving problems, and bringing people together. When elected, Lisa Holliday Harris, your write-in candidate, will work every day to represent every resident of District 43 with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to improving opportunities. Why District 43?
District 43 deserves a representative who is accessible, accountable, and committed to listening to every constituent. Lisa Holliday Harris believes effective leadership begins with understanding why history matters. As of 2026, this district remains heavily democratic in voter registration. Available data show approximately 15.2 % are Republicans and 5.2% are independents, although registration numbers do not predict individual voting behavior. This history matters to this campaign since we have seen a growing number of supporters for socialism, which will raise significant concerns for residents. Voting for Lisa is your opportunity to choose a better option, one centered on this community and not a national agenda. One Voice. One District. One Future!
Public safety requires both accountability and prevention, which is important to our district's future. Place an active focus on securing careers in law enforcement, supporting victims, and making meaningful investments. Ensure programs are producing measurable results, look for waste and duplication, and prioritize essential services before considering additional financial burdens on residents. Lisa knows and understands the importance of backing legislation that works and protects communities. To win, we must aggressively combat any ideology that would cause gridlock in our policy-driven approaches and clear-cut legislative processes that will bring resources home to District 43 families.

Mayor of Louisville
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Lisa Holliday Harris is a dedicated Portland resident and veteran spouse whose career reflects commitment to both entrepreneurship and public service. After earning an associate's degree in interior design, she began her professional journey as a bath and kitchen designer. I have embraced roles that demanded independence and resilience as a professional truck driver and entrepreneur. Motivated to deepen her understanding of civic leadership, I've embarked on missionary work throughout the United States and abroad before pursuing a bachelor's degree in political science. Later, receiving a honorary doctorate in Christian Education, recognizing my contributions to community outreach. As a board member of three non-profits, has been a strong advocate for expanded public transportation options. My service on the Metro Council's Commission for Persons with Disabilities underscores her commitment to inclusivity and practical solutions. Throughout her career, Lisa Holliday Harris has consistently championed fiscal responsibility in the face of her own setbacks, safe neighborhoods, economic opportunity, and the restoration of trust between local leadership and the community.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Representation -vs- Results Representation is important because it changes who is in the room when decisions are made. Representation alone is not enough; results-driven leadership matters. What I want them to remember about my candidacy is that real leadership means making sure opportunity is not limited by zip code.Equity is not about favoritism; it's about fairness and opportunity. As mayor, I would focus on measurable improvements in housing access, business development, and workforce opportunities. We must examine how the city policies impact communities differently and correct policies that unintentionally create barriers.Policy and Public Safety - Public safety and accountability must exist together. Communities deserve protection, and they also deserve transparency and trust.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about moving Louisville from hardship into a stewardship model of Government Accountability & Fiscal Responsibility. Transparent auditing, spending, cutting waste, and transparent reporting are needed. Results - budgeting.
