In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
First and foremost, I am a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. I'm also a Wyoming native and the owner of my own real estate company specializing in property management.
Every day, I work with the same issues that affect the people of Senate District 29—property rights, housing, zoning, taxes, regulations, veterans' concerns, and the challenges facing local businesses. I understand how decisions made in Cheyenne directly impact families, homeowners, business owners, and our communities.
My career has taught me the importance of listening, finding common ground, and solving problems. Negotiation and conflict resolution are part of my everyday work, and I believe those are exactly the skills needed in the Wyoming State Senate. Effective leadership isn't about creating division—it's about bringing people together to find practical, conservative solutions that serve Wyoming.
I believe the people of Senate District 29 deserve representation that is transparent, accessible, and accountable. I will always stand up for our constitutional freedoms, protect private property rights, preserve responsible public access, and defend the Wyoming way of life.
Wyoming families deserve affordable housing, accessible healthcare, lower taxes, and an economy that creates good-paying jobs. I believe government should empower people—not stand in their way.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Wyoming needs good-paying jobs—not only to encourage our young people to build their futures here, but to ensure every Wyoming family has the opportunity to succeed.
We cannot claim to be open for business while turning away every opportunity that comes our way. Instead, we should carefully evaluate new industries and investments by asking thoughtful questions, considering the facts, and reviewing the economic and environmental impacts before making informed decisions.
Wyoming's future depends on a strong, diverse economy. We should welcome businesses that share our values, respect our communities, and are willing to invest in our state.Wyoming's public lands are one of our state's greatest assets and should be protected for future generations. While there are important discussions to be had about how these lands are managed, I do not support transferring vast amounts of federal land to state ownership without carefully considering the long-term consequences.
The financial burden of managing millions of acres of public land could be enormous for Wyoming taxpayers. We must be realistic about the costs and ensure we are not creating obligations that could strain our state budget or ultimately lead to the sale of lands that belong to the people. These landscapes have defined Wyoming for generations.Every Wyoming family deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of where they live. Improving healthcare access—especially in our rural communities—must remain a priority.
We need to attract and retain more physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals by making Wyoming a place where they want to build their careers and raise their families. The recent federal investment in Wyoming's healthcare system presents an important opportunity, and we should use those resources wisely to strengthen healthcare for the people who call Wyoming home.
Too many Wyoming families are forced to travel hundreds of miles—or even out of state—to receive specialized medical care.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Protecting Wyoming families, preserving our way of life, and ensuring our communities remain strong for future generations.
I believe government accountability and transparency are essential. The people deserve representatives who listen, communicate openly, and remember that they work for the citizens-not the other way around.

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
My name is Lisa Engebretsen, and I am a lifelong advocate for Wyoming communities, families, and businesses. I live and work in Casper, where I have built my career as a Real Estate Broker and property manager while serving my community through volunteer work and local involvement.
I am running for the Wyoming State Senate because I believe Wyoming deserves practical, commonsense leadership that puts people before politics and local communities before outside interests. I believe in protecting private property rights, preserving access to our public lands, supporting small businesses and economic growth, strengthening our healthcare system, and ensuring our veterans, first responders, and seniors receive the support they have earned.
As a conservative Republican, I value individual freedom, personal responsibility, fiscal accountability, and local control. I support policies that create opportunities for future generations while preserving the Wyoming Values that make our state special.
Above all, I believe government works best when it listens to the people it serves. I am a connector, a problem solver, and someone who is willing to have difficult conversations to find real solutions. My goal is to be a strong voice for Senate District 29 and to ensure the people of Wyoming always have a seat at the table.
