In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Like many New Hampshirites, I had to overcome obstacles as a youth. I had difficulty learning because I am dyslexic. My parents were told that I would have trouble finishing high school and that I would not be able to attend college. I rebelled against my fate. I worked hard and with the help of exceptional tutors I was able to complete college and even earn a graduate degree.

This experience taught me perseverance, humility, and the importance of opportunity. I also learned that success is rarely achieved alone and that we have a responsibility to help others reach their potential.

My career has spanned labor relations, business, technology, and nonprofit leadership. I have spent decades working with people who held different viewpoints and interests, finding practical ways to solve problems and move forward together.

In Congress I would apply that same approach. One of the first things I learned at MIT Sloan was that before solving a problem, you must first understand it. I will listen, study the facts, follow the data, and work transparently. I will ask where every dollar comes from and where every dollar goes. The challenges facing our country are complex, but they deserve thoughtful analysis, honest dialogue, and practical solutions.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I’m proud to be an American. I am living a great life and am thankful for all the opportunities America has provided. I am running to give back and to help ensure others enjoy the same opportunities I did. But it is not going to be easy.

Am I proud to be a Republican or a Democrat? Not so much. I feel both parties have been taken over by extremist and have lost much of their common sense. I don’t really feel at home in either party. But I will fight to bring common sense back into both parties.

I will be an advocate for change within the Republican Party and Congress.I am running to do the hard things, like strengthening Social Security and Medicare for current and future generations.

The challenge, as I see it, is that there is a growing gap between what the average worker contributes over a lifetime and what is ultimately paid out in benefits. According to estimates from the Tax Policy Center, that gap can amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars per person.

The answer is not to abandon the commitments made to people who, in good faith, paid into these programs throughout their working lives. The answer is to honestly recognize the challenge and find sustainable ways to close the funding gap so that Social Security and Medicare remain strong for both current and future generations. If you’re serious about global warming, you need to get serious about balancing the budget. Global warming is very expensive. We used to be confident that we will always have enough water; not anymore. Many wells in New Hampshire went dry last summer. West coast states are fighting over allocating water of the depleted Colorado River.

Between 2050 and 2100, we will need to spend trillions of dollars to transport water from where it is abundant to where it is scarce, to rebuild communities after natural disasters, to relocate people from locations that are no longer habitable, and to make other adjustments to a hostile climate.

We will have to borrow that money, which will be increasingly difficult if we continue to run up the deficit.

Washington is broken. Will doing the same old things fix it?

To prepare for the future we need to completely rethink and restructure how Washington works. We need to take a close look at congressional committees. Do they help solve America’s problems or are they just a venue for cross-party name calling. Washington is run by the seat of the pants. We need to establish individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for major departments so that we can evaluate their performance against objective measures of efficiency and effectiveness.

Campaign websiteAnderson's campaign website stated the following:Business and technology leadership for New Hampshire's futureAmerica has provided my family and me with extraordinary opportunities. I'm running for Congress to help ensure future generations enjoy those same opportunities. As a business and technology leader, I've spent my career helping organizations navigate technological change, solve complex problems, and prepare for the future. That experience will guide my work in Congress. My campaign is built around one simple idea: Preparing New Hampshire for the Future.Preparing New Hampshire for the Future means tackling difficult problems, promoting fiscal responsibility, making government more transparent, following the facts wherever they lead, and strengthening Social Security and Medicare for future generations.I am seeking the Republican nomination to represent New Hampshire's First Congressional District.Lindsey Anderson Republican for U.S. House of Representatives New Hampshire First Congressional DistrictI am running as a Republican for the United States House of Representatives in New Hampshire's First Congressional District because I believe New Hampshire and our nation must prepare for the challenges ahead.I am proud to be an American. America has provided my family and me with extraordinary opportunities, and I am grateful for the life we have been able to build. I am seeking public office because I believe it is time to give back and help ensure future generations have the same opportunities. Our nation faces serious challenges. We are experiencing rapid technological change, growing fiscal pressures, increasing political division, and intensifying global competition. The decisions we make during the next decade will shape America's future for generations. Because America is entering a period of profound change, we need leaders who prepare for the future and confront difficult problems rather than avoid them.Throughout my career, I have helped organizations navigate change and uncertainty. As a business and technology leader, I have learned how to analyze complex issues, make decisions based on facts and data, communicate transparently, and remain accountable for results. I believe those same skills are needed to help prepare New Hampshire and our nation for the future.New Hampshire deserves leaders who are willing to tackle hard problems honestly and responsibly. I am running as a Republican, but I intend to represent all the people of New Hampshire. I believe good ideas can come from anywhere, regardless of party. I will listen carefully, study the facts, and work with anyone who is serious about solving problems.I am not interested in the politics of outrage or division. I am interested in results. That means addressing issues that many politicians prefer to avoid, including the long-term sustainability of Social Security and Medicare. My goal is not to weaken these programs. My goal is to strengthen and preserve them, so they remain available for future generations. For too long, Washington has kicked these challenges down the road. We owe it to future generations to confront them honestly and directly. The people of New Hampshire deserve practical, transparent, and fiscally responsible leadership focused on preparing our state and nation for the future. I would be honored to earn their trust, their support, and the opportunity to serve.Key PrioritiesPreserving America's ability to meet tomorrow's challenges.1. Fiscal Responsibility2. Strengthening Social Security and MedicareProtecting and preserving these programs for future generations.3. Preparing for Tomorrow's EconomyHelping New Hampshire address technological change, economic competition, and long-term challenges.4. Government Transparency and AccountabilityHelping Americans understand how decisions are made and where their taxpayer dollars go.My PrioritiesI am running as a Republican for Congress because I want future generations to enjoy the same opportunities that America provided to my family and me.America faces serious long-term challenges. Rapid technological change, growing global competition, increasing fiscal pressures, climate and infrastructure concerns, and the long-term sustainability of programs such as Social Security and Medicare will shape our future for decades to come.Meeting these challenges will require leadership, planning, and resources. Unfortunately, our nation's fiscal condition is steadily weakening. Fiscal responsibility is not simply an accounting exercise. It is about preserving America's ability to respond to future challenges and invest in future opportunities. My campaign is built around one simple idea: Preparing New Hampshire for the Future. My priorities are:Where I Stand1. Fiscal Responsibility America cannot continue indefinitely spending more than it takes in. We must make difficult decisions today so that future generations inherit a nation capable of meeting tomorrow's challenges.2. Strengthening Social Security and MedicareMy goal is not to weaken these programs. My goal is to strengthen and preserve them so they remain available for future generations while honoring commitments made to current retirees.3. Preparing for Tomorrow's EconomyRapid technological change and global competition are transforming our economy. We need to prepare New Hampshire's workers, businesses, and communities for the changes ahead and ensure that future generations have the opportunity to succeed.4. Government Transparency and AccountabilityAmericans deserve to understand how their government makes decisions and how their taxpayer dollars are spent. Government should communicate clearly, operate transparently, and be accountable for results.— Lindsey Anderson's campaign website (September 4, 2026)Note: This text is quoted verbatim from the original source.
