Linda Sawyer earned a high school diploma from Redford Union High School and completed her undergraduate education at Northern Michigan University and Michigan Technological University.[1] Her career experience includes working on research funded by The National Institutes of Health. Sawyer has been affiliated with the Michigan Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, and the University of Michigan Professional Nurse Council. She has served as a committee member of the Wayne County Republican Party and as an elector to the Republican National Convention.[2][3]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

A former NIH funded researcher known for her health care plan with no deductibles, no copays for the same price as a cable subscription. This is health care for all that could potentially be free.

Have had a home in North Fort Myers since 1978 and have been down here for 45yrs part time. Educated in Michigan. I think this is important as a couple of candidates moved here just to run and STUNNED at how many of them with former arrests. We need a solid candidate.

Have been very active in our party while still knowing the needs of our community because I am part of our community full time.

I come from a police/fire/EMS family and collecting a police retiree pension. Too many police have died in SWFL.

A former corporation owner with import/export experience in the children's toy industry. I started small but wasn't easy. I exhibited at the Toy Fair in NYC and did China factory visits. I understand tariffs all too well and agree with them as did our founders in the Federalist Papers. We need more manufacturing here.

Healthcare for all without touching Medicare. Started by a Canadian doctor in Detroit because Canadians were crossing the border here.Background in federal grant writing to bring federal funds to SWFL for veterans, seniors, infrastructure and social programs. Sometimes competitive so technical writing skill important.Election integrity. I was a poll challenger in a swing state and watched the entire counting room computers reboot. Numbers changed. Sometimes this would happen when my research computer crashed at the university, however, Bethesda knew. In this case I challenged and 10" later I was told all was ok. Impossible. President Trump posted my testimony on his Truth Social on Jan 05 and Dan Bongino reposted. I chose to testify before the legislature to be on record rather than illegally enter the Capital. I do not like candidates broke the law. It accomplished nothing.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Social issues such as veterans, seniors, clean water. I am community rooted.

America First Media. I really don't seek endorsements. I rely on people to look at candidate websites and internet searches. It's the internet searches that can find dodgy records.

Environment

There are easier things we can do to reduce your carbon footprint without government control.

Federal Grant Money

Much of the money raised is federal funds by way of grants.

With my research background, I can write grants on my own but if they give me a team-even better!

Removing Rashida will not remove any money from our district.

It just may get us more money!

Taxes

When you decrease the tax RATE.

You increase revenue to your pocket, which you will spend right back into our economy. President Trump did this in 2017. I agree with it

Vulnerable People

My mother will open every email that looks official.have She will open attachments.She will call back spammers. She now has so much junk mail-she doesnt see the real mail that us important. Her postal box is full of junk mail. Her phone is off because she gets so many junk calls. Her messaging gets 50 junk texts a day so that if I text her- she doesnt it see it right away.

To bring health care to Lansing.To my knowledge, we have no health care professionals currently serving in our legislature.

Is there anything you would like to add?

A Registered Nurse with the University of Michigan for 28 yrs with critical care and research background. From a police and fire family. Born in Detroit Michigan. 5th generation German Lutheran immigrants that lived on Springwells in the district. Adopted children from a Russian orphanage twice so immigration experience. Father was a State Farm agent for over 50 years and used to help in the office so have an understanding of auto insurance. Sister has intellectual and developmental disabilities so an advocate for the disabled. Have union negotiation experience for over 6000 staff. Volunteered for a non-profit children's organization for over 30 years.[4]
