In their own words

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

EVERYDAY AFFORDABILITY: With rising costs of everyday necessities like groceries, families are having to make hard decisions about big investments like healthcare and housing. I am ready to bring bread back to the table for you and your family.MAKING GOVERNMENT WORK FOR YOU:

My degree from the University of St. Thomas is in Finance and Economics. I am your candidate who can balance a check book and keeps up with the dollars and cents. Our government has been feeding subsidies to large corporations all while hardworking families foot the bill, and that needs to end.KEEPING THE LIGHTS ON AND THE WATER RUNNING:

From Hurricane Harvey, Winter Storm Uri (where 250 persons lost their lives) to the Derecho, I want to ensure that our infrastructure is prepared to take care of you. From aging pipes, power lines, freeways and more, our district should feel safe in their homes.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

When my son developed asthma early on in his life, I became passionate about creating a healthy environment for my children to grow up in.

As someone who came to this country very young, I am passionate about ensuring that immigrants receive a fair shake and the due process that our nation promises.

For the last decade, I have brought community members and their concerns directly to their public officials. I am passionate about community input and government transparency.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

I have been honored to receive endorsements from a broad coalition of elected officials and community leaders, including Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia; State Representatives Christina Morales and Penny Morales Shaw; Houston City Council Members Letitia Plummer, Mario Castillo, and Joaquin Martinez; Houston Community College Trustee Eva Longoria; and HISD Trustee Kathy Blueford Daniels. I am also endorsed by respected community leaders Johnny Mata, Dr. Sergio Lira, and Reverend James L. Caldwell. Please see more at my website: https://www.leticiaforcongress.com/endorsements
