I am a Town Councilor in Orono, Maine, serving in that capacity since 2017. I am President of Osher Environment Systems, LLC, a building energy efficiency consulting and general contracting company based in Orono. Since 2010, OES scientists have advised hundreds of residential and commercial building owners on the most cost-effective upgrades to lower their energy use. The OES team has upgraded hundreds of buildings, increasing comfort and cutting energy costs and carbon footprints by an average of 35% per building. From 1999-2008 I was a research and teaching faculty member at the University of Maine. The courses I taught includes Soil & Water Quality; Soil Genesis, Morphology & Classification; & Estuary Ecosystem Studies. My research identified the important role of Maine's estuary ecosystems in storing carbon. I served as treasurer of Orono Schools Coalition for the Arts (OSCAr) from 2015 to 2017.
