In their own words
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Texas Economy-We need to build infrastructure that allows new business and new jobs, while also protecting the natural resources that our great state possesses. A living wage that provides stability for families and keeps economic growth local. I believe if we reinvest in Texas and the People of Texas, we all benefit.Healthcare-Access to affordable healthcare is a necessity and we have to make sure that we do not lose these rural facilities. Expanding Medicare is a way to ensure that we keep rural hospitals open. A women's access to necessary services like family planning, contraception, and safe abortions are human rights. Medical privacy and protections are standards that we have to uphold.Public Education-Every child deserves access to a worldclass public education. The children of today are our leaders of tomorrow. We have to recruit and retain the best public educators, provide the best tools, teach classes based on true history, initiate classes providing living skills, and prepare our children to be contributing adults to our communities. We are growing the future of Texas.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Today, Texas laws are being passed without representation. As a citizen of East Texas, the laws currently put forth by the Texas Legislatures do not have the Majority approval of the population. We want a living wage, we want local healthcare and a women's right to privacy in her healthcare choices, we want a women to have choices. We have to have fully funded public schools. Every proposed law that the current legislature authors, removes our rights little by little, slowing taking away our rights as citizens, as tax payors and as parents. It is benefitting the billionaires and big businesses. We have to get back to taking care of Texans.
