In their own words

29 year old Navy Veteran. Specialize in military electronics repair. concerned about the direction america is headed.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Tired of the child like Partisan arguing in congressyou can lean left on some issues and lean right on others, doesn't mean you are on the fence about anything.i want my gay friends to be able to get married and protect their marijuana crop with their guns.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Pro-Gun Rights, Freedom of Choice, marijuana legalization.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

Ronald Reagan, above reproach, Strong Leader.

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

the only document that can clearly convey the understanding of my political philosophy is the Constitution of the United States of America. i believe in more freedoms for individuals. a more free society is a happier society.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

remembering he is their for the PEOPLE not for the Corporations or for himself. Also, that he takes an oath to uphold the Constitution so he should remember not to go against it.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I am a successful veteran, that can overcome adversities, and still exhibit great leadership and maintain a clear decision making process in stressful environments. I am Also not disconnected to the communities i would represent. I am for the people because I am one of them. Not a lawyer that was raised by a doctor like our incumbent representative.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

represent the district honestly and listen to the desires of the constituents.

What legacy would you like to leave?

i would like to leave the legacy that a no one independent showed up and bridged the partisan divide and got the country back on track, and back together.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

impeachment of President Bill Clinton, i was 8 years old

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

i worked at Nestle Toll house kiosk in Pembroke Mall in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the age of 15. i think i had the job for a couple months before leaving and moving to Chesapeake, Virginia and working at CiCi's Pizza.

What is your favorite book? Why?

Flatland, satire describing the patriarchy and the Class of people, i have always felt that the class of people was determined by themselves and they can move between classes very fluid.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

beautiful crazy by luke combs

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

I lost my Mother at the age of 18, and my father at the age of 24. not knowing how much you still need your parents advice at that age.

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

well the House has 435 representatives to better debate the actual desires of constituents. though the elected do not always vote the way the majority of their constituents desire. they also have the sole ability and responsibility of impeaching a president when there is evidence of treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. the house is also the only chamber that can initiate a bill that allocates funds I.E. the budget.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

No, Politicians are the downfall to this great nation. some would disagree saying that experienced politicians can maneuver better and get things done. well the fact of the matter is if there is no quid pro quo then what do they have to maneuver. We the People of the united states know what the average american wants and needs and the fact of the matter is that the average American is very moderate. not a liberal socialist or an ALT right fascist.

What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

the ever growing Partisan divide, that splits our nation. instead of coming together as Americans and putting country before political agendas

If you are not a current representative, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?

judiciary, armed services, and veterans affairs

If you are a current representative, why did you join your current committees?

N/A

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

i believe that right now with the fluid change in the political arena 2 years works well to more accurately represent what the constituents desire.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

undoubtedly believe in term limits. even in the armed forces they have a max amount of time you can serve.

If you are not currently a member of your party’s leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, would you be interested in joining the leadership? If so, in what role?

i am not part of a political party because not only do i believe that the political parties are tearing our country apart but i believe that the whole concept of a whip is immoral if we are to vote how our constituents desire not how our party desires.

Is there a particular representative, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?

i would say presently i do follow Rep. Dan Crenshaw and i like the way he explains everything in videos to his constituents so they do not have to question the reasoning behind his decisions.
