Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
My name is Kloud Walton, and I’m running for Congress because I believe representation should come from people who actually live under the systems they’re expected to change. I chose Rochester as my home in 2019, and since then I’ve worked in retail and the medical cannabis industry, helping people face-to-face every day. Those experiences gave me a real understanding of how economic instability, healthcare access, and housing costs affect people in their daily lives.
I’ve seen what it means when people work full time and still struggle to stay afloat. I’ve seen how difficult it can be to access care, and how easily people are overlooked by systems that prioritize profit over people. I’m running to fight for universal healthcare, housing as a human right, and wages that grow alongside the cost of living.
This campaign isn’t about personal ambition. It’s about responsibility. It’s about making sure people in our community have someone in Congress who understands their reality and answers to them. I believe government should serve the people, and I’m committed to being a representative who listens, learns, and acts with integrity.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
