Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Upholding the American Dream.
This means being able to AFFORDABLY provide for our
families, buy a home, own a business, provide our children with a quality education, take proper care of our elderly, and live our daily lives free from the threat of crime or violence.
Unfortunately, our healthcare and housing costs have dramatically increased due to decisions made by
self-serving politicians. Our public-school systems are failing for similar reasons. Small businesses are
burdened with overregulation, our elderly are being taxed out of their homes and too often forgotten. Even
though crime rates may have declined somewhat, they remain among the highest levels many of us have
experienced in our lifetimes.Reducing Regulatory Burdens and Taxation.
Economic growth and affordable housing can be fostered by reducing unnecessary government regulation on businesses and housing construction. Eliminating Montana’s Business Equipment Tax and other excessive fees and regulations will support small businesses and the building industry. The current property tax system is not sustainable or fair and must be revised, if not eliminated. Eliminating property taxes for seniors will help those who have paid off their homes remain in them, rather than being forced out due to rising taxes.
Eliminate state income tax on Social Security, to help help ensure our elderly residents have the resources they need to live with dignity and independence.Quality of Life.
Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of a thriving community. To maintain public safety, funding must be prioritized for first responders & public safety initiatives, rather than funding unnecessary government bureaucracy. By focusing resources on those who protect & serve, we can create an environment where residents feel secure.
To help lower healthcare costs and improve access, it is essential to open local insurance markets to national
competitors. Insurance and pharmaceutical
companies must be required to provide transparency about how premium payments are spent, ensuring
consumers understand where their money goes.
School funding should emphasize direct instruction & student outcomes.
