In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a 25 year public educator who has worked in the environmental field and public education. As a lifelong resident of New Hampshire and specifically Strafford County, I know the issues facing our state- from the high cost of living in New Hampshire, to the continued assault on public education- I have been present for the changes. My goal as State Representative is to bring into the legislature a focus on substantive changes we can make to make New Hampshire an affordable option for everyone- specifically our young families and aging populations. This includes quality public education, housing, retirement, energy resiliency, and recreational areas that are clean and healthy.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Education! Public education must be a priority for all our families; we must repeal the legislation that is robbing our schools of the funding needed to continue to provide high quality education. This includes funding for our schools, but also teacher education programs.ENERGY- we need to focus on cutting energy costs to our citizens by innovation and education. This includes incentivizing installation of alternative energy sources to our schools, municipalities, and homeowners; providing low cost weatherization, and other cost savings methods. The environment is part of the New Hampshire way: clean air, water, and lots of places for public adventure and recreation. We must support our public spaces, improve water quality, and care for the environment.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Public education, energy, and the environment.
What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?
American Federation of Teachers, Progressive Turnout
