Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a 5th generation Mason County Resident and a 41 year law enforcement officer, currently serving in my 4th term as Mason County Sheriff. I am a graduate of Ludington High School and West Shore Community College. I have been married for 39 years and have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I am the past president of Michigan Sheriff's Association(MSA); serve on the MSA legislative Committee; was the 2021 Michigan Sheriff of the year; am a member of the broad of directors on the National Sheriff's Association(NSA), representing all 83 Sheriff's in Michigan; serve on NSA's border security and traffic safety committees. Locally I serve on the Medical Control board and Child Death review team; serve on the Lakeshore Childrens Advocacy Center Board of Directors; Mason County Historical Society Board of Directors; Vice Chair of the Mason-Oceana 911 board; spearheaded a $170,000 fundraising initiative that provided barricading devices for all classroom and school doors. I have been endorsed by over 70 Sheriffs in Michigan and across the US, including all Sheriff's in the 32nd district.

Affordability: I will fight to get Lansing spending under control for hard working Michiganders. I believe that government functions best by allowing local government to make the decisions.I will be a voice for victims of crime to ensure that they are not forgotten as well as being an advocate for our law enforcement and first responder communities.Safe schools, Safe Communities, Safe Streets. I will push legislation to hold criminals accountable; vote no on cashless bail and fight for school resource officers in all schools.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Safe Schools, Safe Streets and Safe Communities. Putting money back in the pockets of hard working Michiganders so they can afford housing, child care and living expenses.
