Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Kevin is running because he believes the people of District 29 — from Carrington to Jamestown to every small town in between — deserve a representative who actually lives this life alongside them. Not someone who talks about rural issues from Bismarck, but someone who's out in the field, at the school board meeting, and in the pew on Sunday morning. With nine kids of his own, Kevin worries about the same things every parent in Carrington and Jamestown worries about: Are the schools good enough? Is there a doctor close by? Will there be jobs here when our kids grow up? He's running to make sure District 29 is a place where the next generation actually wants to stay.Kevin has watched property taxes push good families off land they've worked for generations. He's seen the cost of doing business in rural North Dakota climb while the help from Bismarck stays flat. As a third-generation farmer, this isn't abstract policy for him — it's personal. He'll go to Bismarck to make sure rural producers get a fair shake.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Kevin has spent his career giving back to this community. He served on the Carrington High School Board for 12 years, sat on the North Dakota State Advisory Board, and currently serves as vice chairman of the ND Dry Pea and Lentil Council. He's a member of the Parish Council Board at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Carrington and was honored with the National Young Farmer Award in 2016.
