Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I founded "Vine & Fig Tree," a Bible-centered ministry whose name comes from the most popular Bible verse in America 300 years ago (Micah 4:1-7). This ideal made America the most prosperous and admired nation in history. In 1892 the U.S. Supreme Court proudly boasted that America was a Christian nation. The Court reversed itself in the 20th century, declaring that the U.S. is now an atheistic ("secular") nation, and America's prosperity was transformed into bankruptcy, and admiration into loathing and ridicule. We need another "Great Awakening."
The oath of office is an act of religious worship. If you take an oath to support the Constitution and then take money from taxpayers to fund unconstituitonal bureaucracies, you are a malfeasant oath-breaker and you've taken the Lord's Name in vain. If you pledged your allegiance to the Republic and then voted for candidates who undermined the Republic, you broke your pledge. Over the last 250 years we've seen that a Free Market works and socialism fails. The next big step in human history is to realize that no human being has a right to hurt people or steal their property. The idea that some people have this right is the worst idea human beings have ever come up with. We need to cut Washington D.C. back to the levels prescribed by the Constitution, and then abolish the rest as a violation of the most basic principles of Biblical morality. www.Romans13.com
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
America needs to be a Christian Theocracy once again. An atheistic government and media has told us all to be afraid of the word "Theocracy." It simply means "God governs." God is over the nation. We Pledge Allegiance to a nation "under God." Not "under clergy." That would be "ecclesiocracy." A Christian Theocracy is different from an Islamic theocracy, a Jewish theocracy, or an atheistic theocracy where every man is his own god, and the State is our collective god. God our Governor says no human has a right to hurt people or steal their property. That includes people who call themselves "the government." www.anarcho-theocracy.comThe Constitution is a document of "enumerated powers." The government can only exercise powers enumerated in the Constitution, and no more. This basic principle is enshrined in the 10th Amendment. Education is not an enumerated power. That bureaucracy should be abolished. Consistent application of that principle would cut trillions of dollars in unconstitutional federal spending by unconstitutional bureaucracies. There is not a single member of Congress willing to cut all unconstitutional spending. Missouri needs to send a Libertarian to Congress. Your vote can send a message, even if your candidate does not win. Most politicians believe they can do anything they want, even if the Constitution does not authorize it.Advertising experts say consumers must see an ad 7 times before they buy. This is your first. "Anarchist" means "not an archist." An archist claims the right to impose his will on others by force or threats of violence. In Mark 10:42-45, Jesus told His followers not to be archists, but servants. A servant says, "The Customer is King." The archist says you have no choice. The U.S. Federal Government is the most evil and dangerous entity on earth. Tens of millions have been murdered, maimed, or made homeless in my lifetime. Abolishing unconstitutional programs isn't enough. We must abolish immoral programs. Government is an immoral program—the worst idea humanity ever devised.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
"Liberty Under God": replace gov't coercion with cooperation in a free market.
1. Only the Government can cause inflation. The Constitution says only gold and silver can be money. Abolish the Federal Reserve.
2. Congress should restrict the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court to prevent it from imposing the religion of Secular Humanism in public schools. Public schools were originally created to teach everyone to read the Bible. Ultimately, "Separation of School and State."
3. Cut funding of every U.S. soldier and military base in any country where Congress has not made a Constitutional Declaration of War. Ultimately, "swords into plowshares."
5. Cut all taxes. Taxing is stealing.
Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?
Ludwig von Mises relentlessly promoted liberty against socialism even though the entire academic world was promoting socialism.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Must not take the Lord's Name in vain by swearing an oath to support the Constitution and then taking money from Americans to fund unconstitutional bureaucracies.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
Must not take the Lord's Name in vain by swearing an oath to support the Constitution and then taking money from Americans and giving their money to benefit special interests.
What legacy would you like to leave?
Vine & Fig Tree University. www.VineandFigTree.university
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Printing plate organizer. One summer.
What is something that has been a struggle in your life?
Why so many voters vote for candidates who promise to hurt people and take their stuff.
What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?
Not triggering nuclear war on Israel's behalf. We must stop being our own gods (Genesis 3:5).
Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?
No. I admire the personal motto of free market economist Ludwig von Mises: “Tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito” which translates to “Do not give in to evil, but proceed ever more boldly against it” https://KevinCraig.us/tug.htm
What was the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember?
Assassination of Lee Harvey Oswald

Craig’s campaign website stated the following:
Respecting Our Nation's Past
The Declaration of Independence says you have a duty to abolish any government which becomes a tyranny. That's how America was born: our Founding Fathers abolished their own government. The same year Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence, Adam Smith wrote a book called The Wealth of Nations, considered to be the first treatise on capitalism. The Constitution was designed to promote Free Markets and guard against tyranny. Some great Americans, like Patrick Henry ("Give me Liberty or give me Death!") could see that the Constitution's guards against tyranny were inadequate, and they refused to support the Constitution. They were right, and if America's Founding Fathers could travel through time and see the government we have today, they would take up arms to abolish it. If they succeeded in abolishing Washington D.C., Missouri would be a separate economy the size of Poland.
Kevin Craig is a pacifist. He believes we should abolish tyranny by ballots rather than by bullets. He is the only candidate in this race who is committed to promoting legislation to abolish all unconstitutional bureaucracies and federal programs. Unconstitutional spending amounts to over $10,000 for every man, woman, and small child in America. If we followed the Constitution, and Washington D.C. were bound down by the chains of the Constitution, how much better off would your family be with an extra $10,000 per person per year? Republicans will never abolish unconstitutional bureaucracies, because Republican leadership wants Republicans behind every desk in these wasteful and unconstitutional bureaucracies. They want the armed FBI agents who break down your door at 3am to be Republicans.
Nobody in Congress takes the once-sacred oath seriously. The oath to "support the Constitution" means nothing if it doesn't mean promising to NOT support and fund anything which is NOT Constitutional. That should be obvious. Will electing one Libertarian to Congress persuade Democrats and Republicans to keep their oath to support the Constitution? No, of course not. But it's a start. Voting for the same politicians who got us into this mess is not a start. It's a wasted vote.
Once he gets all unconstitutional programs abolished, Kevin Craig would work to do what America's Founders would do: abolish even the Constitutional programs. America's Founding Fathers made two huge mistakes.
First, they engaged in a violent armed insurrection against the British government. The Bible prohibits the violent overthrow of tyrannical empires. Jesus said "resist not evil" and "Render unto Caesar," who was a violent pagan invader who slaughtered thousands of Jews, and enslaved them, claiming to be god.
Second, having abolished the government, America's Founders then created a new one -- which turned out to be worse than the one they abolished. They believed God required human beings to form "governments." 100% pure laissez-faire capitalism was not allowed, they believed; there had to be some socialism or some fascism. But they were wrong about this. They believed God required society to have a "public sector." That's not what the Bible says.
