In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Hi, I'm Keith Hoffmann. I grew up in Rhode Island. My wife, Rachel, and I returned home after graduate school to raise our family.
I've always represented the People. I rose to become a senior leader in the Attorney General's Office, fighting for access to healthcare, public safety, and against corporate greed that harms consumers. When the Trump Administration took illegal actions that harmed Rhode Islanders, I led successful legal fights in court to stand up for Rhode Islanders and our state budget.
I'm running for Attorney General to succeed Peter Neronha, who has endorsed our campaign. As Attorney General, I'll fight everyday to make our state safer, stronger, and fairer for everyone.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I led teams of attorneys to win court battles against the Trump administration. As your Attorney General I'll continue the critical work of standing up to federal overreach.I stood up for Rhode Islanders' access to healthcare, and as Attorney General, I'll make fighting for quality affordable healthcare a core priority.I bring deep legal and leadership experience within the Attorney General's Office. I'm the only candidate who's served in leadership positions within the Office, and the only candidate with combined experience in consumer protection, healthcare, criminal investigations and prosecutions, and standing up to the Trump administration's reckless overreach.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Healthcare, consumer protection, community safety, environmental protection, civil rights, antitrust, worker protection, climate and energy.
