In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m Keith Davis, an insurance professional, business owner, and community leader with nearly 10 years of hands-on experience helping families, homeowners, and business owners protect what matters most. I’ve worked across personal and commercial insurance, including home, fire, California Fair Plan, flood, life, and business coverage, which has given me a firsthand look at the challenges Californians face every day.
I am also a man of faith, and my values of integrity, service, and compassion guide the way I live and lead. I believe in helping people, building strong communities, and standing up for what is right.
Much of my work has centered around protecting families, supporting homeowners, and helping people navigate some of the hardest moments in their lives. That experience, along with my passion for serving others, is what drives me both personally and professionally.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
First, I want to fix the wildfire risk scoring model that has caused too many homeowners to be labeled as high-risk unfairly. This has driven premiums higher and made it harder for families to keep or even find coverage. Homeowners deserve a fair and accurate systemSecond, I want to help bring insurance carriers back into California and strengthen confidence in our insurance market. Limited options and rising costs have made coverage difficult for families, business owners, and homebuyers. We need more competition, more availability, and more stability.Third, I want to review unjust and wrongful claim denials and make sure consumers are protected when they need help most. Insurance companies should not be able to deny claims unfairly without accountability.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I’m personally passionate about lowering insurance premiums and making sure consumers are treated fairly when filing claims.
Over the last four years, home insurance premiums have risen nearly 300% in many areas, while auto insurance premiums have increased by nearly 75%. For many families, insurance is no longer just expensive, it’s becoming unaffordable. People should not have to choose between protecting their home and paying their everyday bills.
I’m also passionate about making sure people are paid on legitimate claims and are not met with unjust denials. Too often, policyholders pay premiums for years only to face delays, confusion, or unfair denials when they need help the most. Insurance should provide peace of mind, not added s
