In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a husband, father of 2, Marine Corps Vet, and have been a truck driver for the better part of 10 years. I'm angry that our current elected officials aren't doing their jobs. They only seem to be concerned with lining their own pockets while ignoring the hardships of the people they are supposed to serve.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Gun reform/ common sense gun laws. With gun violence as a commonplace in our daily lives, it's time to re-evaluate our gun laws. As a truck driver I had to undergo a federal background check and finger printing. Why can't we apply these same practices when it comes to buying a firearm.Healthcare. Id like to one day see free healthcare for all. I also can acknowledge that we might have to take steps to get there. So for the time being id like to seek out ways we can make healthcare more affordable, and put the decisions of said healthcare back into the hands of doctors and patients. Rather than the pockets of insurance companies.Education. First our educators are extremely underpaid. I would like to increase the pay of our teachers and ensure they have all the tools necessary to educate our future. Secondly in order to provide those tools we need to increase funding to schools. Most of our schools don't have the resources to give the students a stable environment. This doesn't allow our students to their full potential.
