In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am Ke’Andra Foggie, a healthcare informatics professional, community advocate, and Doctor of Health Sciences. My career in healthcare data and analytics has taught me the importance of using evidence, accountability, and thoughtful decision-making to solve problems. I am running for Georgia House District 17 to bring a practical, community-focused perspective to state government and to focus on the everyday issues affecting families in Paulding County.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Affordability & Responsible Growth

Affordability must remain a priority as our community grows. My campaign focuses on policies that address the everyday costs facing families while supporting responsible economic growth. I want Paulding County to attract quality jobs and opportunities without losing sight of infrastructure, transportation, schools, public safety, and the services a growing population requires. Growth should be planned carefully so that residents can benefit from it rather than simply bearing additional costs.Education, Jobs & Workforce

Education and economic opportunity should work together. I support strong public schools, educators, career and technical education, workforce training, and partnerships between schools, technical colleges, and employers. Students should have multiple pathways to success, whether they choose college, skilled trades, military service, entrepreneurship, or direct entry into the workforce. I also want to expand opportunities for residents to find quality employment closer to home.Accessible & Accountable Government

Government should be accessible, transparent, and responsive to the people it serves. I believe residents should know what their representatives are working on and have meaningful opportunities to raise concerns. My priorities include access to healthcare, safe communities, infrastructure that keeps pace with growth, and clear communication with constituents. I also believe state and local leaders should work collaboratively when an issue requires coordination across different levels of government

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am especially passionate about healthcare access, affordability, education, workforce development, and responsible community growth. My professional background in healthcare informatics and health sciences has shaped my interest in preventive care, mental health, maternal and family health, and ensuring that communities have access to the services they need. I am also passionate about strong public schools, career pathways, economic opportunity, safe communities, and infrastructure that keeps pace with growth.
