In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I was a single Mother for 2 small children, who are now adults. I was an executive and advocate for individuals with disabilities for over 20 years. The Bills I carry are practical approaches that remove impediments that were hurting working families and small business daily life. I am the Vice Chair of the Agricultural, Water and Acequia Committee and continue the water conservation efforts inspired by the 50 Year Water Plan. Funding and advocating water conservation projects and protection of our agricultural communities are a priority. Currently I have been earning my living as a licensed realtor for first time home buyers, veterans and individuals on fixed incomes. In my nonprofit career, I had experience managing a supportive housing program. Supporting efforts to diversify home ownership opportunities is also very important to me as a legislator. In the years I have served as a Representative, I have been able to successfully sponsored and developed bills that have benefited individuals with disability, veterans, working families and seniors while advocating and investing in water conservation efforts, affordable home ownership opportunities and civil rights.
