Background

Kate McCann was born in Lancaster, New Hampshire, and lives in Montpelier, Vermont. McCann graduated from White Mountains Regional High School in 1992. She earned an M.A. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Vermont in 1998. Her career experience includes working as an educator and as chief negotiator, vice president, and co-president of the Vermont teachers' union.[1]
