In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Board Certified Geriatrics Specialist with the ABPTS. The Lake Sunapee region has been my home since 1984 where I worked, raised my three children, and continue to volunteer in the local community in support of the arts, the schools, the environment, and the health of my neighbors.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I support public schools. I believe the school voucher system (EFAs) needs to have oversight and accountability in place. EFAs have been allowed to be misused and now have gotten out of control to the detriment of the state budget.Affordable and secure housing is key to a thriving community and its successful citizens. Maintaining the state's Housing Champion Designation is vital for towns willing to address housing needs while also supporting the vital infrastructure.Healthcare should be affordable and accessible to all citizens. Not all Medicaid recipients have the ability to work or volunteer in any meaningful way. Low income seniors should be able to have enough resources on hand to withstand the increases in utilities, groceries, and heating costs without jeopardizing their Medicaid coverage.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am most passionate about healthcare, specifically comprehensive care for women's reproductive health and initiatives for preventative health programs for seniors.
