Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
America is at a breaking point. Costs keep climbing while wages fall behind. Families are working harder than ever and getting less for it. Healthcare bankrupts the sick. Housing is out of reach for young people. Politics has grown louder, angrier, and more disconnected from the lives of the people it claims to serve.
It is time to pass the torch to a new generation of leadership.
I'm Josh Hamilton. I'm not a career politician. I lift propane tanks for a living. It is physical work. It is honest work. And it gives you a clear view of how decisions made in Washington land in everyday life.
I come from a family with deep American roots. My ancestors have served in every war since the Revolution. I was raised to believe that loving your country is not about slogans. It is about responsibility. Doing your part. Standing up when something is not right. Leaving things better than you found them.
That is why I am running for Congress.
I have put together a serious plan called The New American Dream. It cuts taxes for working families, delivers universal healthcare, makes college and trade school free, caps child care at $20 a day, and eliminates the federal deficit within seven years. It is fully funded. The math works.
This campaign is about restoring trust, lowering costs, and making opportunity real again. I am asking for your support, not as a politician seeking power, but as a fellow American asking for the chance to serve.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
It is time to pass the torch to a new generation of leadership. I am not a career politician. I lift propane tanks for a living, and I know what it feels like when costs keep rising and wages do not. Washington has grown disconnected from the people it serves. The folks making the decisions are not the ones living with the consequences. That is backwards. America needs leaders who understand work, who value fairness, and who care more about results than rhetoric. That is the kind of representative I will be.Working families are being crushed by costs they did not create. Health insurance, child care, rent, and groceries keep climbing while paychecks struggle to keep pace. My plan delivers the largest working-class tax cut in American history, universal healthcare with $5 prescriptions, child care capped at $20 a day, tuition-free college and trade school, and 0% interest home loans for first-time buyers. This is not abstract ideology. It is real money back in your pocket and real relief at the kitchen table. We can afford to do this. The only question is whether Washington has the will.Politicians love to make promises. I built a plan. The New American Dream is a comprehensive policy platform that cuts taxes for working people, builds universal healthcare, pays teachers six-figure salaries, invests in our children, and eliminates the federal deficit within seven years. Every number has been modeled. Every mechanism has a constitutional basis. Every dollar is accounted for. We do not need to choose between helping families and balancing the books. We can do both. That is what this campaign is about: serious solutions for serious problems, with the math to prove they work.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
My deepest passion is making work pay again. For too long, our tax code has rewarded speculation and passive wealth while punishing the people who actually do the work. I want to flip that. I am passionate about universal healthcare, because no family in the richest nation on earth should go bankrupt for getting sick. I am passionate about education, because every child deserves a great teacher and a debt-free path to college or a trade. And I am passionate about the next generation. The choices we make in the next decade will decide whether the American Dream survives or becomes a memory. I am running to make sure it survives.
