In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My name is Jonathan Reed Fallon, though most of my friends call me J.R. I am a blessed dad to three wonderful young children, a grateful husband to a brilliant and beautiful wife who is an accomplished writer and educator in her own right, the proud son of a single mother, and a humbled fourth-generation service member. I have served 14+ years in the U.S. Air Force and presently serve in the reserve as a JAG officer. I am also the part owner of a small business in Kennebunk.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Coalition Building: Augusta needs both center-left and center-right voices now more than ever. I am running to turn down the temperature and focus on practical, commonsense solutions.Cost of Living: Affordability is not a slogan — it is the difference of whether or not Maine families can pay the bills. I am running to lower the cost of living and improve the quality of life we work hard for.Education in an AI-Dominated World: I will stand with our teachers by supporting higher pay and ensuring they have the training needed to lead students in an AI-dominated world, because the reality is, AI is here to stay. But as a father of three young children, I believe we must also ensure our students can think critically, stand on their feet, and clearly articulate their ideas.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

In no particular order:

- Restoring Civility and Bipartisanship

- Affordability and Cost of Living

- Education, in the Age of AI

- Infrastructure and Long-Term Competitiveness

- Government Accountability and Consumer Protection

- Serving our Seniors, Veterans, and First Responder communities
