Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m John Wick — a West Point graduate, Airborne Ranger, combat veteran, husband, and father.
I’ve lived in states across the country and traveled around the world, but I chose to raise my family right here in Florida. I’m running for Congress to bring principled leadership to Washington — leadership that listens, leads with integrity, and works relentlessly for the people.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
This campaign is built on trust. I’ll be transparent, accessible, and accountable — not just now, but as your representative in Congress. What you believe matters — but how you communicate it is what gets people to listen.I will make decisions that are fair and just. Everyone deserves what they earn — no more, no less.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Immigration, Veterans Affairs, Cost of Living
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Hockey referee.
What is your favorite book? Why?
Harry Potter
Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?
A close friend of mine immigrated to the United States at 18. They didn’t speak English, had no home, and lived in a shelter before eventually settling in Florida. Through sheer determination, they built a successful career in finance — proving that with hard work, anything is possible in this country.
There are people — both born here and abroad — who are willing to work hard to build a better life for themselves and their families. I will always put America and American citizens first. But I also believe we must support those seeking lawful entry who are ready to contribute and embrace our values.
At the end of the day, no matter your background, success is a choice. And I believe in empowering those who are willing to make it.
