In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I'm John Wells, a lifelong MIssourian. I have two degrees from the University of Missouri and nearly 30 years of experience as a state employee. I'm running to put people first again in our state.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Education is the most important mission of the state. We've seen Republican leadership try to create two systems - one for the rich and one for the poor. I don't think that's right and will work to make public education they best it can be for ALL our children.Healthcare. The way we rebuild rural communities is with access to a good education and healthcare. People want to live in rural Missouri. They just need the same amenities that most people in cities have.Access to the internet. This is the other key for rural communities. The state just made a $6 billion investment in rural broadband. Where did it go? We have a lot of data centers planned - does that mean people also have access?
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Education, Conservation. Energy, Agriculture.
