Weddle is running in a special election for the Position 1 judge of the Mississippi Court of Appeals District 1. He is on the ballot in the special general election on November 3, 2026.[source]

Governor Tate Reeves (R) appointed Weddle to the Mississippi Court of Appeals on September 25, 2024, to replace Jim Greenlee.[1]
