John Tomko earned a high school diploma from the Palm Springs Charter Homeschool and completed a CNA program from John Wood Community College. His career experience includes working as a chaplain.[1]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

John Paul Tomko is a Hemodialysis CNA and Hospital Chaplain with Foursquare Chaplains International. He received the Chaplain of the Year 2017 from CEO Todd Ahrens of Hannibal Regional Helathcare System. He has administered in-home and travel hemodialysis therapy with DaVita Dialysis since 2019. He is a Foursquare Christian presently attending Beacon United Methodist Church and is a resident of Hannibal, Missouri.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Healthcare: Expanding healthcare access by raising the income cap for individuals in MO HealthNet for seniors and adults from $1600 per month to $2600 per month and implementing a permanent spend-down waiver for ESRD patients. The provisions in the plan will also increase the percentage payments to hospitals and establish a healthcare minimum wages for CNAs, PCTs, RNs, and all certified Healthcare workers.Tax Reform: Eliminating personel property tax for individuals and businesses to remove tax on the right to own a car, boat, farm equipment, and businesses equipment. The reforms will also focus on Repealing tax breaks, cuts, and loopholes across the board to make everyone pay the taxes they own to fully fund education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public safety.Education: Update the formula for education funding to provide 30% raises to teachers in K-12 education, and ease the burden on local school districts to increase money from the State and reduce taxes on local property. Also, work to establish a 0% interest college loans program through the Missouri Department of Education to get more people into the careers they need to become part of the middle-class.
