Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Jill Alesch is an Iowa attorney, Army veteran, and mother of two. A Denison native, she served 22 years in the National Guard, earning a Bronze Star. She’s worked in justice and law and now runs for Iowa House District 43, focused on education, families, and conservation.

Jill emphasizes her background as a military veteran, attorney, and mother—not a career politician. Her campaign centers on bringing proven leadership, integrity, and a willingness to do the right thing even when it's difficult. Jill believes we need to return bipartisanship and civility back to politics. Her campaign centers around avoiding extremism and she brings a moderate perspective to democratic politics.She advocates for adequately funding public schools, increasing accountability for taxpayer-funded private schools, reducing childcare costs, expanding affordable housing, and supporting small-business growth. She is also focused on public safety and water quality in Iowa.Jill highlights clean water as a priority, supporting efforts to reduce agricultural runoff while also supporting Iowa farmers, with the goal of protecting both natural resources and economic livelihoods.
