In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a dedicated public servant, U.S. Army veteran, community advocate, and candidate for State Representative in Massachusetts’ 6th Plymouth District. Most recently, I served as Chief of Staff at AfghanEvac, a nonprofit dedicated to honoring America's commitment to its Afghan allies. Previously, I was Deputy Director for Communications and Engagement in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts (CARE), worked on veterans and immigration issues in the office of Congressman Bill Keating (MA-09), and served as Director of Communications at the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP). I also serve on the Truman National Security Project Defense Council and previously served on Everytown’s Veterans Advisory Council.
I am running for State Representative because the rising costs of housing, healthcare, and childcare are outpacing wages and making it harder for Massachusetts families to get ahead. The affordability crisis is forcing seniors, young families, and working people out of the communities they have long called home. It's time for Beacon Hill to take meaningful action to make Massachusetts more affordable and ensure every family has the opportunity to build a future here.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Affordability: Rising housing, healthcare, and childcare costs are pushing families out of the communities they call home. As your State Representative, I'll fight to cap utility cost increases, expand down payment assistance for working families, and limit out-of-pocket healthcare costs.State Resources: Local governments are struggling to fund schools, public safety, and core services as costs rise and state aid fails to keep pace, forcing towns to repeatedly ask taxpayers for overrides. I'll fight to modernize state aid formulas so communities get the funding they need without putting that burden on local taxpayers.Support for Working Families: As the daughter of union members, I grew up seeing firsthand how unions give families stability, dignity, and opportunity. As your State Representative, I'll be a strong advocate for labor unions and protect the right to organize, bargain collectively, and secure fair pay and safe working conditions.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about affordability and economic security for working families; protecting and expanding labor rights, healthcare access; affordable, high-quality child care; public education funding, veterans' services, voting rights protections; and environmental and infrastructure investment, including clean drinking water and PFAS remediation; strengthening and expanding reproductive healthcare and common sense gun safety legislation.
