In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am Dr. Jeffrey "Doc" Solomon, a father, chiropractor, inventor, and small business owner who has served the South Florida community for more than 40 years. Throughout my career, I have helped thousands of patients improve their health while teaching future healthcare professionals the importance of integrity, compassion, and service.

I am running as an Independent because I believe the people of Florida deserve leadership that puts solutions ahead of political parties and special interests. I am not beholden to party bosses or political insiders. My only commitment is to the people of District 38.

My campaign is focused on addressing the issues that affect families every day: lowering the cost of property and health insurance, improving access to affordable healthcare, strengthening public education, expanding transportation options to reduce traffic, protecting our environment, increasing government transparency, and making homeownership more attainable.

As a healthcare provider, I have spent my career solving problems by listening first and working with people to find practical solutions. That is exactly how I will serve in Tallahassee.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I am an independent candidate focused on solving problems, not partisan politics. My campaign is about putting people before politics by addressing the issues that matter most to Florida families: affordable healthcare, rising insurance costs, quality public education, traffic congestion, housing affordability, and government accountability. I will work with anyone who has good ideas and stand up to anyone who puts special interests ahead of the people I represent.Florida needs leadership that invests in the future. I will fight to strengthen public schools by increasing per-student funding and teacher pay, address the property insurance crisis through transparency and competition, expand rapid transit and Metrorail to reduce traffic, support affordable homeownership, protect the Everglades and Biscayne Bay, and ensure every taxpayer dollar is spent responsibly through greater transparency and accountability. As a healthcare provider for more than four decades, I understand the real challenges families face every day. I will fight to lower health insurance premiums, reduce prescription drug costs, expand telehealth and mobile healthcare services, improve access to mental health care, and make preventive healthcare more accessible so Floridians receive care before small problems become expensive emergencies.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about improving healthcare access and affordability, strengthening public education, protecting Florida's environment, reducing the cost of property and health insurance, expanding transportation infrastructure to reduce traffic, promoting affordable homeownership, protecting animal welfare, and increasing transparency and accountability in government. I believe public policy should focus on improving people's quality of life, creating opportunity for future generations, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are invested wisely and produce measurable results for the communities they serve.
